Hans Bentsen (b. ),works as a graphic artist and teacher in Kristiansand. He mainly works with gravure prints (etching, cold needle, mezzotint, photopolymerization, etc.), but also with high prints (wood and lino prints), drawing and painting (watercolor and acrylic). Bentsen teaches part-time at high school (visual subjects) and at Kristiansand cultural school, as well as arranging courses for adults.
His works range from the more dreamy visions of a fantasy landscape to more exploratory studies of a clear technical nature. Bentsen has grasped the etching, the gravure and explores the possibilities within this exciting field. His expression is characterized by a certain stubbornness, and a willingness to hold on to a motive until he has studied all the possibilities the subject possesses. The etchings' possibilities have in a way become a separate motif in the pictures of Bentsen. The aesthetic meets an exquisite technical skill in this artist's record.
Hah has participated in a number of juried exhibitions, including the Autumn Exhibition. Is a member of Norwegian Visual Artists. Purchased by several public institutions.
