Lars Løken (b. 1965 / Norway) was raised in Vennesla, and currently lives and works in Moss. The onion has a background from the world of music and played previous bass guitars in several bands, but has worked full time as an artist since the beginning of the 2000s.
The onion mixes his own egg oil temp he uses in his pictures, a painting with an ancient history. Eggs, oil, water and color pigments are all that is needed, and it has proved to be durable enough that altarpieces from the 1400s painted with this type of tempera are still in good condition.
